While I had a few minutes to play with, I made this illustration – the inspiration for which came from Adam Lisagor’s talk at this year’s Webstock conference. I believe his original quote was along the lines of “Trust people who have an answer, question people who have an opinion”. While the entire conference was full of amazing ideas and subject matter (as always), this quote in particular really stuck with me. It’s all too often that people criticize to make themselves look important, and it’s also common for brilliant ideas/solutions to be overlooked because they weren’t put forth assertively enough. I’ve been amazed at how heavily things are simplified when I look at the positives and negatives of ideas, and not the people who put them forth.
